We are excited to welcome you and your little ones to our sensory play world!
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please take a moment to review our policies regarding bookings, refunds, events, and product sales.
1. Sensory Play Sessions Bookings & Payments
- All sensory play session bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure your spot.
- Bookings can be made online or directly through our business page/booking system.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the session are eligible for a full refund or credit.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable, but we may offer a credit at our discretion if we can fill your spot.
- No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credit.
Illness
- If your child is unwell, please contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to offer a rescheduled session or credit (one-time courtesy) if notified before the session starts.
2. Birthday Parties & Events Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking to secure your party date.
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event.
Cancellations
- Cancellations made 14+ days before the event will forfeit the deposit only.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will be charged 50% of the total package fee.
- Cancellations within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable.
Changes & Rescheduling
- We understand life happens! We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to availability and with at least 7 days' notice.
Weather (for outdoor setups)
- For outdoor events, a backup indoor location must be arranged by the client.
- If weather conditions prevent safe setup and no alternative is provided, the deposit is forfeited.
3. Ready-to-Play Sensory Mixes Product Orders
- All dry sensory mixes are made to order and are non-refundable once shipped.
- Please allow up to five business days for preparation before dispatch.
Shipping & Local Pickup –
Shipping costs and timeframes will be calculated at checkout.
- Free local pickup is available by arrangement.
Returns & Safety
- Due to hygiene and safety standards, we do not accept returns on sensory mixes.
- Products are coated with non-toxic acrylic paint and may contain glitter. Colours may vary from batch to batch.
- Products used are manufactured and packed in facilities that package peanuts, tree nuts, milk, gluten, soy, sulphites and sesame seeds. Some pasta shapes may contain egg. Please DO NOT USE if your child suffers from any aforementioned allergies.
WARNING: Our sensory mixes contain small, loose parts that may pose a choking hazard. Not suitable for children under the age of three.
Non-consumable. Adult supervision is required at all times during play.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
4. Safety & Supervision
- All children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver during sensory sessions or birthdays/events.
- We are not a drop-off service.
- Scoop Sensory takes every reasonable precaution to ensure our sensory play sessions, products and set-ups (birthday and events hire) are safe, age-appropriate, and non-toxic. However, by participating in our sessions, birthday/ events hire, or by purchasing and using our sensory products, you acknowledge and accept that:
-All children must be actively supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times during play.
- Scoop Sensory will not be held liable for any injuries, allergic reactions, accidents or death that may occur as a result of participation in our sensory play activities or use of our products.
-Participation is at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to ensure the activity is appropriate for your child’s age and abilities.
-Products sold are not for consumption and should only be used as intended.
5. Photography & Social Media
- We may take photos during sessions or events for promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please let us know at the start of the session.
